Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Uni-Amp ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit this website, purchase or use our software, or contact us. By using the site or our services, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you email us (for example at support@uni-amp.com) or interact with our community (for example, https://discord.com/invite/Y4zf6uDwuJ), you may provide identifiers such as your email address, username, or message content.
Purchases. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They collect billing and payment information needed to complete your order. We do not receive your full payment card details from them; we may receive limited purchase-related information (such as product purchased, region, and transaction identifiers) as necessary to fulfill licenses and support.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and infrastructure may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps when you load pages (server logs). We may also use storage on your device for preferences (for example, theme or motion settings) where our site implements them.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to operate the website and software, process purchases and license fulfillment, respond to support requests, improve our products, comply with law, and protect against fraud or misuse.
4. Sharing and processors
We share information with service providers who assist us, including payment processing (Lemon Squeezy privacy policy) and website hosting. Those parties may process data under their own terms for the services they provide. If you use Discord or other third-party services we link to, their privacy policies govern your use of those platforms.
5. Do Not Track
Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to "Do Not Track" signals, as we do not employ third-party behavioral tracking.
6. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Server logs and similar technical data are typically retained for a limited period according to our host's practices.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may give you specific rights over your personal information. This section summarizes rights that often apply in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the UK GDPR, and rights for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA" / "CPRA"). Other regions may grant similar rights; contact us if you are unsure.
For any request under this section, we may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights where prohibited by law.
7.1 EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Controller. For personal information covered by this policy, the controller is Uni-Amp. You can contact us about privacy matters at support@uni-amp.com.
Legal bases. We process personal information only where we have a valid legal basis under applicable law, which may include: performance of a contract with you (for example, fulfilling purchases and licenses); our legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights (for example, operating and securing the website, responding to inquiries, and limited analytics compatible with those purposes); your consent where we ask for it; or compliance with a legal obligation.
Your GDPR rights. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have the right to:
- Access — obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of certain information (Article 15).
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16).
- Erasure — ask us to delete personal data in certain circumstances ("right to be forgotten") (Article 17).
- Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances (Article 18).
- Data portability — receive personal data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, where processing is based on consent or contract and is automated (Article 20).
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing (Article 21).
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (Article 7).
- Lodge a complaint — file a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU member state or UK where you live, work, or where you believe an infringement occurred. A list of EU data protection authorities is available from the European Data Protection Board; in the UK, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
International transfers. If we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries that have not been recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection, we will implement appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law (for example, standard contractual clauses approved by the relevant authority or another lawful transfer mechanism).
7.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
This subsection applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this policy. Terms used below have the meanings given in the CCPA / CPRA.
Categories of personal information collected. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with us: Identifiers (such as email address, online identifiers, or username); commercial information (such as records of products or services purchased); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as browsing or interaction information reflected in server logs); and geolocation data (such as approximate location derived from IP address). We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined in the CPRA for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you beyond what is necessary to provide our services described in this policy.
Sources. These categories may be collected directly from you, automatically when you use our website, or from our service providers (for example, payment processing through Lemon Squeezy).
Purposes. We use and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in sections 3 and 4 of this policy (for example, operating the site, fulfilling orders, support, security, and compliance).
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined in the CCPA, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors under 16.
Retention. We retain each category of personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, consistent with section 6.
Your California privacy rights. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents may have the right to:
- Know / access — request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and certain other details (for example, categories of sources and business or commercial purposes), including, in some cases, portable copy in a readily usable format.
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — as stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; if our practices change, we will provide a clear mechanism to opt out as required by law.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — request limitation of use or disclosure of sensitive personal information beyond permitted purposes, where applicable.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising CCPA / CPRA rights, for example by denying goods or services, charging different prices, or providing a different level of quality, unless permitted by law.
How to submit a request. To exercise these rights, email support@uni-amp.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line, or contact us as described in section 10. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf (including an authorized agent under CCPA rules), may make a verifiable consumer request. We will verify your request according to applicable law and respond within the timeframes required by the CCPA / CPRA (typically 45 days, with a possible extension when permitted).
Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 allows California residents to request certain information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes as described in that statute. If our practices change, we will provide the disclosure required by law.
8. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do; continued use of the site or software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
